Club members enjoy the use of the Club’s many facilities and participate in a full calendar of summer activities. Adults can relax in the gracious lounge or on the deck with its splendid view of the lake; they can sail one of the Club’s fleet of sailboats; enjoy the vibrant yoga program or they can play tennis on one of its four courts. Coaching in sailing and tennis is also available.
Youngsters can take sailing, tennis or swimming lessons from qualified instructors and, if they like, can participate in competitive sailing or tennis. The Club also offers supervised recreational ball hockey, and there is a weekly kids’ movie night and supper which is always well-attended. For the younger children, there is a supervised Stay’n Play Program.
At Royal Hour each Friday evening, members mingle on the deck over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres; many go on to have a delicious buffet barbecue prepared by the Club’s chef. Club Night dinners on Thursdays offer a superb dining experience with family and friends in beautiful surroundings.
Each year, the Yacht Club Dance is the season’s highlight and perennial sellout. A top-quality buffet dinner precedes the live band and dancing into the wee hours.
There are too many other social activities and special events to list here. The Club is simply the social and sporting centre of lake life throughout the summer – there is always something going on!
There are Membership levels for all budgets and individual or family situtations.
RLWYC has reciprocal privileges at other Royal Yacht Clubs. This allows Club members the opportunity to enjoy and use other fine facilities around the world during their travels.
