Gymkhana

Team & individual competitions on water and land for children ages 5 to 12.   Organizers dream up fun activities including the dress up dive, sponge bucket relay and the opti paddle to name a few.  Always a fun morning that ends with a BBQ lunch and the awarding of the Gymkhana Trophy!

Welcome to Little Lake Adventurers 2024!

About
Little Lake Adventurers is back for Summer 2024, and we couldn’t be more excited! Little Lake Adventurers is a summer camp program designed for kids ages 3-10, (must be potty trained), offering a mix of crafts, sports, games, and activities. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided, and a hot lunch is served – no need to pack any food!

This summer, we are pleased to offer both half-day and full-day programs for Little Lake Adventurers, with the opportunity to add on Tennis or Sailing in the morning, and Swimming in the afternoon.

Morning Program: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (snack and lunch included)

Afternoon Program: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (snack included)

Full Day Program: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (2 snacks and hot lunch included)

Not sure you want to stay the whole day? We have an Afternoon Drop-In Option as well, so your camper can decide day-to-day to stay for the afternoon fun!

We are busy preparing some amazing activities for the summer (Tie-Dye, Bubble parties, Slip N Slide anyone?!), so stay tuned – Weekly Themes and Field Trips will be posted soon!

Week 1: We will kick things off with a “Celebrate Summer” Theme, and head to Coney Beach for our Special Field trip!

Adventure List:
Rain or shine, we will be at the Yacht Club living our best Lake life, so please make sure your Adventurer brings the following in a backpack (labelled!):

  • Lifejacket
  • Hat
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen (please apply first coat prior to drop off)
  • Bug spray
  • Sweatshirt
  • Extra shorts/t-shirt
  • Rain jacket
  • Closed toed shoes (essential for sports and hikes!)
  • Water Shoes
  • Towel
  • Bathing suit (wet suit optional if doing Swimming/Sailing Combo)
  • Extra lifejacket (Swimming/sailing Combo)
  • If dietary restrictions/allergies, please provide a snack for your child! A typical LLA snack is fruit/veggies, crackers, and cheese/yogurt.
  • If participating in Tennis:
    – Running shoes
    – Tennis racquet (there are extras at the club as well)
