We are pleased to welcome Daniel Fraser back to RLWYC as the Head Tennis Pro for summer 2016. Daniel has just completed a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Psychology from the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, where he had a tennis scholarship and played on the varsity tennis team. He is a Canadian citizen, but also has roots in Australia. He has completed the Junior Development coaching certificate as well as the Club Professional coaching certificate from Tennis Australia. He also has a Strength and Conditioning certificate from the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association. He has experience coaching all ages and levels of tennis in both Australia and Canada. We are excited to have Daniel bring his expertise and enthusiasm for the sport of tennis to our club to run the tennis programs for summer 2016.
RLWYC follows the Progressive Tennis coaching program, endorsed by Tennis Canada, which enables young people to learn in a fun and interactive way and ensures immediate success for young players. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets and courts, young players are properly equipped to enjoy rallies and learn the fundamentals of the game early on. Skills are developed much quicker, allowing for an easy transition to full court.
The tennis camps offer instruction to all juniors from the ages of 5 to 16, whatever their skill level.
