Welcome to Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club 2022 Season

Thank you for your interest in the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club. We are delighted that you have inquired to join the Club and are very much hoping to welcome you on the deck for the summer of 2022.

The RLWYC is a special gathering place that has bonded families and friends together for generations. It has a history spanning over 100 years and a community that is proud to be a part of its unique fabric.

The RLWYC provides a vibrant array of social events and programs for our membership. During the weekdays, the Club offers activities for both children & adults including sailing, tennis, swimming lessons as well as yoga and fitness classes. It is a bustle of activity for all ages and interests!

Weekends kick off with our Friday Royal Hours (a cocktail hour for members and guests) followed by a series of sailing regattas, tennis tournaments and other social and competitive activities taking place throughout the summer. Some notable events include the always popular Fish Fry, the Three Island Swim – an open water competition, our unique Yachtion fundraiser featuring a Pancake Breakfast and live auction, an annual golf tournament just to name a few. The social highlight of the summer is the famous Yacht Club Dance taking place annually on the August long weekend.

New members are required to pay a one-time joining fee of $1200.00. If you were previously part of a camp or family membership at RLWYC there is a 50% reduced joining fee. Payment plan options are available for both the joining fee and the annual dues, please inquire with the Executive Director to discuss options.

2020 and 2021 were very challenging with COVID restrictions, but we were still able to provide sailing, tennis and swimming programs following safety protocols. The Club and it’s Executive Committee are committed to providing programming that conforms to the guidelines set by our provincial government and sport regulating bodies for the 2022 season. We are confident that the 2022 season will be another exciting and memorable summer.
